Right at entrance of Delhi Gate, at left, is the extravagant Shahi Hammam, built in the era of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for the royalty. It is a Turkish and Persian style bath with 21 rooms, and its massive walls are engraved with unique carvings, and despite been constructed in the 1630s has a hot water system our engineers just discovered in the recent times.

The architecture of the bath is so intricate, it is safe to say it is one of its kind in the entire subcontinent. It is historical structure less known but a must visit for those visiting the Walled City.
